Muricciaglia is off the beaten path, yet only five minutes drive from the medieval village of Castellina in Chianti and ten minutes from Radda in Chianti.

It is 20 km from Siena and 35 from Florence and the ideal base for frequent excursions to wonderful little hamlets, abbeys and castles.

Panzano known for Dario Cecchini, and his restaurants; Greve, a small but busy town, renowned for the beautiful square where stands the monument to Giovanni da Verrazzano, who discovered Manhattan in the sixteenth century.
Amerigo Vespucci, who gave his name to America, was also born in Greve; Lamole, the highest altitude in Chianti, a few km from Greve, a tiny village with a beautiful church and a very good restaurant.
You’ll enjoy spectatular views of Panzano and Val di Greve.
Instead of coming back to Greve, you can continue on the white road that leads to lovely Volpaia and then down hill to Radda and home.
